Last index finger keys
V is reached by curling the left index finger down. M is reached by curling the right index finger down.
These are the last reaches for your index fingers. V and M are typed by reaching the index finger down to the bottom row.
After this lesson your index fingers will be fully trained on all their assigned keys. V and M let you type words like move, very, and steam.
V and M complete the index finger key set. After this lesson, all future keys will be assigned to the middle, ring, and pinky fingers.
V is reached by curling the left index finger down. M is reached by curling the right index finger down.
Left index: F, G, R, T, V, B. Right index: J, H, U, Y, M, N. These twelve keys are the core workload.
With V and M you can now type words like move, every, rhyme, and vanilla.
Practice V and M reaches. These are the last keys your index fingers need to learn.
These are the exact finger assignments for this lesson. Keep the rest of your fingers relaxed and avoid lifting the whole hand.
V and B are adjacent on the bottom row, both typed by the left index finger. V is directly below F; B is further to the right.
M and N are adjacent on the bottom row, both typed by the right index finger. M is directly below J; N is further to the left.
The index fingers handle many keys. If fatigue sets in, take a short break and shake out your hands.
With so many reaches, it is tempting to stay on the bottom row. Always return to F and J.
The next lesson goes back to the top row to learn W and O with your ring fingers. After that you will know all five vowels.
